Job Description:

We are currently looking to recruit a Credit Controller who is passionate and motivated for his work. The main job is to maintain records for invoices, credit applications or loan contracts to track payments.

Other requirements include:

• Oversee all accounting and bookkeeping functions
• Perform monthly closing of books- month-end journal, reconciliations, closing entries, transactions categorization review and produce financial reports (Balance sheet, Profit & Loss, etc.) in a timely fashion
• Assist Accounting Firms to ensure compliances with federal, state, and local legal requirements
• Develop a structure for tax optimization
• Chasing debtors by phone and email and reporting debts to management.
• Dealing with all incoming enquiries from leaseholders such as providing copy invoices, updating correspondence details, dealing with executors, agreeing payment plans etc.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash requirements
• Ensure processing of payments on a timely basis
• Prepare and review daily basis cash position reports
• Track and report on operational performance benchmarks and actual results. Uses trend analysis to keep the management team informed of areas of needed improvement
• Maintain internal accounting controls to ensure the professional and secure handling of company finances

Skills:

• Experience in a credit control role within a busy office environment.
• Must be highly numerate and accurate with strong attention to detail
• Tenacious, presentable, assertive, and self-motivated
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional telephone manner
• Conscientious and highly focussed, with a sound understanding of credit control procedures and an appreciation of data protection issues
• Experience of using computer-based accounting systems.
• Able to work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively
• Good skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Understanding of accounting techniques including sales ledger transactions, particularly in a property environment, would be an advantage.
